Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe was born South London, England into a mixed family. Both her parents are both English. Her family was on the southern part of London Council Estate and went to The Brit School aged 14. She received her Bachelor of Arts in acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. At the academy was when she performed in various stage productions, such as the King Henry V as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe got her start in acting through a short film called Storm Damage. Since then, she's made guest appearances on Teachers, Doctors, Casualty as well as Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film appearance was Woody Allen's 2007 Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. Following that she portrayed Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally, she starred in Trexx as Ollie and in six episodes of Flipside. She was Bambi as Bambi in The ITV2 series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe also appeared on the comedic How to Lose Friends and Alienate people (2008). Her credits in the theatre are Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) as well as Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe officially made her US debut with The Beautiful Life in 2009. The series aired only two episodes on The CW, and was eventually removed from the air. Ashley Davenport was her role in the ABC drama Revenge. Madekwe's departure from the series was officially announced in May of 2013. After two years as the main character she appeared as a guest in the first episode of season 3. From 2014 to 2016, she starred in Salem on the CW as Tituba. Her long-time friend, Iddo, married Madekwe in June of 2012. Both of them have been in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They also played as partners in Salem.

Ashley Leggat, an actress that was nominated two times for the Gemini Award, hails from an extensive Hamilton family. Ashley Leggat was born to Roy and Patty as well her older siblings - Brett, Todd and Bram and Rob. Ashley's siblings, who are all athletic, played in the summer months and play hockey in the winter months. Ashley was never able to walk, but she danced. At the age of two, she began Baby Ballet and fell in the love. It was then that she discovered Ashley's interest in dance. After graduating from the high school she attended, Ashley danced competitively in the highest divisions of tap, jazz, ballet pointe, acrobatics musical theatre, lyrical, and hip hop. Ashley won the best soloist honor at each major dance competition, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, to name just the few.
